Privacy policy

Who we are

Faciem ("we") operates faciem.app and the Faciem customer portal. The seller and the data controller for the personal data described in this policy is [business name], company number [BE 0000.000.000], [registered address], established in Antwerp, Belgium. Contact: privacy@faciem.app.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, e-mail address, password (stored as a salted hash), language preference.
• Membership and payment data: plan, status, invoices. Card details are processed by our payment provider and never stored by us.
• Intake data: age range, sex, ancestry, lifestyle and goals, as you enter them.
• Photos and facial measurements: the six photos you upload and the measurements derived from them. Facial measurements are biometric data in the sense of Article 9 GDPR. We process them only with your explicit consent, which you give in the portal before uploading and can withdraw at any time.
• Report and protocol: the analysis, the annotated photo and the recommendations we produce for you.
• Support messages: the messages you exchange with our team.
• Technical data: server logs with IP address, browser type and timestamps, kept for 30 days for security.
• Live-scan e-mail sign-up, only if you choose it: your e-mail address, language, when you gave consent, and whether you confirmed or unsubscribed. The Live scan on the homepage runs in your browser: its photo, landmarks and measurements are never sent to us.
• Partner code: if you arrive through a partner's or creator's link, that code is stored with your membership so we can pay the partner. The partner does not receive your name or data.
• Usage statistics: page views and a few steps of the sign-up flow, counted by Vercel Web Analytics without cookies and without identifying you. Portal, admin and checkout pages are not counted.

How we use your information

To deliver the service you purchased (analysis, protocol, support), to operate your account, to comply with legal obligations (invoicing, tax) and to keep the service secure. If you signed up after the Live scan, we send you the five-mail series you asked for, based on your consent, which you can withdraw with the link in every mail. We count visits without cookies because we have a legitimate interest in knowing which channels bring members, and we use partner codes to pay the partners who referred you. We do not use your photos or measurements to train models, to target advertising, or for any purpose other than producing your report.

Disclosure of your information

We share data only with processors that help us run the service, each under a data processing agreement:

• Vercel: hosting and storage in the European Union, Vercel AI Gateway (which passes requests to the AI services below) and cookieless Web Analytics.
• Anthropic: drafts the first version of your report and its translations. It sees your photos, intake and measurements, for that purpose only.
• TypeSafe AI (Jev): reads only the text of a draft, never your photos, intake or measurements, to flag drafts our reviewer should look at more closely.
• Stripe: payments.
• Resend: e-mail delivery.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Transfers outside the European Economic Area are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Every draft is reviewed by a Faciem team member before release. We never sell personal data.

Retention

Account and report data are kept for the duration of your membership and 12 months after it ends, unless you delete them earlier. Photos are deleted 12 months after your most recent analysis unless you choose to keep them for progress tracking. Invoices are kept for the statutory period. An e-mail address from the Live-scan sign-up is kept until you unsubscribe; after that we keep only the fact that it unsubscribed, so it receives no more mail. You can ask us to delete it entirely. Usage statistics are aggregated and contain no personal data.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data from your settings or by e-mailing privacy@faciem.app. You can withdraw biometric consent at any time; we then stop processing and delete your photos and measurements. You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).

Policy for children

Faciem is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly process data of minors.

Changes to this policy

We will notify you by e-mail of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.
